Books from the Edge of the World

CiRCADiA PRESS is a platform to publish some of the various musings, papers, articles, essays and imagery inspired by my PhD research in Architecture on water-based urban processes and which has initially culminated in The Book of Water Magic..

Water is an elusive subject, it does not naturally sequence through logical or linear pathways. During my post-doctoral research in Paris I began to develop a more creative, and philosophical approach to give myself more scope. CiRCADiA is a place to synthesise research with philosophical and creative content.

And so I begin again with The Book of Water Magic.

Set within a sequence of dreamy watery wonderlands, The Book of Water Magic takes readers on a journey, that weaves science, magic, art and poetry into a sublime reading adventure that rewards curiosity with natural wonder.

Designed and illustrated to be both educational and entertaining, The Book of Water Magic can be a picture book for the young, while repeat readings over time will reveal further layers of meaning, depth and insight into the enigmatic and mysterious intelligence of the watery domain. The educational aspect of the book promotes pattern recognition, dynamic geometry, spatial awareness, comprehension of diagrams through ecology.
